Lifeway Foods Inc., Morton Grove, Ill., extended its ProBugs Kefir probiotic line for kids with three new 3.5oz whole milk varieties: Creamy Orange, Goo-Berry, and Strawnana.

“When we launched ProBugs Kefir in pouches back in 2007, we set the stage for a kids’ food revolution,” said Julie Smolyansky, Lifeway CEO. “With this new expansion into conventional whole milk kefir pouches, we’re continuing that mission by making gut health even more accessible, without compromise.”

Separately, Lifeway relaunched its Lifeway Basics Plus line of Kefir and Colostrum Shots, which first debuted in the late ‘90s. The 3.5oz grab-and-go shots combine Lifeway’s kefir cultures with bovine colostrum.

Rich Products Corp., Buffalo, N.Y., said its f’real subsidiary partnered with Girl Scouts of the USA for a f’real Girl Scout Coconut Caramel Milkshake with real cookie crumbles. All f’real milkshakes feature real milk and consumers blend them in-store with the touch of a button.

Alongside f’real’s core lineup of eight milkshakes, two whole-fruit smoothies and two Energy Freeze offerings, the f’real Girl Scout Coconut Caramel Milkshake will be available for a limited time this fall in retail locations nationwide—from convenience stores to college campuses, including 7-Eleven, Sheetz, Maverik, Kwik Trip and others.

Suggested retail for each 12oz f’real milkshake is $3.99.

Danone North America, White Plains, N.Y., and Louisville, Colo., describe new OIKOS FUSION as a nutrient-dense. cultured dairy drink to support digestive health as well as muscle mass during weight loss. OIKOS FUSION comes in three flavors: Strawberry, Mixed Berry, and Vanilla. Each 7oz, 130-calorie bottle is lactose-free and contains a patented “Advanced FUSION” blend of whey protein, leucine and vitamin D, 23g of complete protein, 5g of prebiotic fiber, vitamins B3 and B12 and 0g added sugar.

Saputo USA, Milwaukee, Wis., extended its Frigo Cheese Heads string cheese brand with new Cheddarella, a hybrid cheese combining the flavor of cheddar with “the playful stringiness of traditional mozzarella,” the company said. It comes in 12-count packages with 0.833oz sticks for on-the-go snacking.

“Cheddarella String Cheese, our cheddar-style string, represents our continued commitment to innovation while staying true to what makes Frigo Cheese Heads cheese so beloved by kids and all dairy snackers, alike,” said Jenny Englert, director of marketing. “By combining the bold flavor of cheddar with the fun, stringy texture of our original string cheese, we’ve created a snack that delivers exactly what consumers are looking for—great taste, quality ingredients, and the fun snacking experience our brand is known for.”

Limited-Edition Flavors

Graeter’s Ice Cream, Cincinnati, announced two limited-edition ice cream offerings in August. It brought back a “Warrior Pack” of pints that included Elena’s Blueberry Pie as part of a “Cones for the Cure” campaign (Sept. 4–14, 2025). The campaign supports cancer research at The Cure Starts Now, an international charity. The variety mixes real blueberries with crunchy pie crust pieces and honors Elena Desserich, a young girl who battled a highly aggressive and incurable form of pediatric brain cancer.

Separately, Graeter’s also released a Caramel Pecan Cheesecake flavor, its sixth (and final) limited-time variety in a “Bake Shop Bonus Flavor” line.

Bell Brands USA, Chicago, greeted fall with a limited time Pumpkin Spice flavor, available through November. It features cinnamon and pumpkin flavors blended with The Laughing Cow’s creamy texture. It is available at major retailers nationwide at a suggested retail price of $4.99.

Activia teamed up with nutritionist and wellness expert, Dr. Amy Shah, to introduce “Gut Glow-Up,” a science-backed initiative to showcase the powerful impact of digestive health. Activia likewise introduced revamped Activia probiotic yogurt cups recipes with simpler ingredients and updated packaging. It also launched a new subline called Activia Proactive.

Officials say new Activia Proactive is a thick and creamy low fat yogurt with billions of live and active probiotics—plus 3g of prebiotic fiber per serving to help feed the good bacteria in the gut. It also offers 10g of complete protein per 5.3oz serving and 0g of added sugar and no artificial sweeteners. It comes in Vanilla, Strawberry, Mixed Berry, and Peach Mango flavors in four-count multipacks at retailers nationwide for $4.69 (MSRP).

Dairy Farmers of America Inc., Kansas City, Kan., extended its Borden Melts cheese line with a new Mozzarella variety. It joins other flavors—including American, extra-sharp cheddar and pepper jack—and comes in a 12oz package with 16 individually wrapped slices.

“Mozzarella is a classic flavor that continues to grow in popularity, and its creamy taste and texture is perfect for melting,” said Jenny Mehlman, senior director of marketing for cheese taste and flavors. “Adding this family-friendly flavor to our unique Melts line of individually wrapped singles gives Borden fans more options.”

Cabot Creamery, Waitsfield, Vt., extended its Gouda cheese line with Gouda Cheese Snack Bars as a new convenience option. In addition to the 0.75oz snack bars, Cabot Gouda is available in 8oz bars and cracker cuts.

“With the cheese snack, single-serve category expected to surpass $2 billion in the next four to five years, we’re excited to introduce Gouda into a convenient format that meets evolving snacking habits,” said Matt Mason, vice president of business management. “Gouda Snack Bars deliver the same rich flavor that Cabot fans love, now in a grab-and-go option.”
