What makes Brownies fudgy instead of cakey?

Fudgy brownies use more fat and less flour. Avoid overmixing and don’t overbake for the best texture.

How do I know when brownies are done baking?

Insert a toothpick into the center of the brownies. It should come out with moist crumbs, not wet batter.

Do brownies taste good the next day?

As brownies cool and rest, the flavors deepent and the texture sets. Brownies are fudgier on day 2!

How do you store brownies?

Classic brownies can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to week. Depending on frostings and fillings, check each recipe to see if it needs to be refrigerated.

Can you freeze brownies?

Most brownies can easily be frozen with delicious results. Wrap brownies in an airtight container (I use ziploc freezer bags) and freeze for up to 3 months.
